This Easter is so different for us in so many ways this year! The biggest one being the grief we are feeling after losing such a wonderful man! We are taking things day by day, minute by minute, grieving and missing Rick along the way. But because of today, the day we celebrate our Risen Savior, we have hope. While we miss his presence on earth, we KNOW Rick is in Heaven, perfect and compete, because of what Jesus did for us on the cross! THAT is what Easter is all about!! Jesus, part of a triune God, came to earth to be crucified on the cross for our sins, so that we, if we believe in His name, will live on, in eternal glory, in Heaven with Him!! We KNOW there is no death for those who fall asleep believing in Jesus’s name because the empty tomb tells us so!! While we may miss Rick on earth, we are also awaiting the day we will see his face again in Heaven!! And THAT is the hope this day brings me!
